Duster points service

This is the documentation for Enlighten.

    Duster points service

    Nov 21, 2019

The Duster Points service displays duster points in the scene. Duster points are placed on meshes that are included in the radiosity computation. It is recommended that you select Show Target Geometry in the Filter tab when viewing duster points.

When the Rendering tab > Cluster renderer > Input Lighting mode is selected, duster points are displayed with a darkened input lighting colour.

    Duster points tab

When you select the Duster Points visualisation service, the Duster Points tab is enabled, allowing you to change the rendering of the duster points. Projected duster points are only available if:

    • Projected points were requested during the precompute, typically with the includeProjectedPointData parameter.
    • You have the reference data loaded.
    • There is more than one version of the geometry in the scene, such as a detail mesh, or multiple LOD levels.

    Projected

Whether to display the projected points (if available), or the original input sample points.

    Green

Renders duster points in a vivid green colour.

    Cluster Colour

Renders each duster point with the colour of the cluster it is in. See the Rendering tab > Cluster renderer > Input Density mode.

    Cluster Lighting

Renders each duster point with the colour of the input lighting of the cluster it is in. See the Rendering tab > Cluster renderer > Input Lighting mode.

    Duster Albedo

Renders duster points with the albedo of the surface they are on (as seen by Enlighten, so may differ between the different albedo workspace models).
